Hattie's Haus was purchased by the current owner's great-great grandfather in 1876. The home and farm have been in the same family for 144 years. It has been recognized by the Family Heritage Program and has been deemed a Century Farm by the State of Texas. The house was occupied by the family until 2001. After that point, the home fell into disrepair until the current family owner restored it to its former glory from 2011-13.

The home comfortably sleeps 10 people with 3 bedrooms housing queen size beds and a bunk room that sleeps 4 single beds. Three bedrooms are located upstairs and one bedroom is downstairs. The house is fully furnished and decorated.

halfway between the cities of Schulenburg and La Grange in the community of

Swiss Alp on Highway 77.  The home is now available to rent for weekdays,

weekends, and special events.
