Hattie's Haus was purchased by the current owner's great-great grandfather in 1876. The home and farm have been in the same family for 138 years. It has been recognized by the Family Heritage Program and has been deemed a Century Farm by the State of Texas. The house was occupied by the family until 2001. After that point, the home fell into disrepair until the current family owner restored it to its former glory from 2011-13.
